About
Sindh Bank was founded in 2010 by the Government of Sindh, making it the newest of Pakistan's provincially owned banks and one of the few commercial banks to be created from scratch after the sector's privatisation era. It is wholly owned by the provincial government, headquartered in Karachi, and built its branch network with an explicit brief to extend banking into interior Sindh rather than compete for the same urban deposits as the large private banks.
In context
We hold 128 other bank companies. 41 of them have closed, after a median of 34 years, and 87 have no closure recorded.
Counted across this directory, from founding and closing years in public records. Medians cover only companies whose closure is recorded; a company with no closure date may have quietly ceased without the record catching it.
