About
Khushhali Microfinance Bank was established in 2000 as Pakistan's first microfinance bank, created under an Asian Development Bank programme to build a commercial institution for borrowers the banking system had never served. It lends in small amounts, usually without conventional collateral, to households and micro-enterprises, and its establishment is the origin of the separate microfinance banking licence category the State Bank of Pakistan now regulates.
In context
We hold 10 other bank companies founded in the 2000s. 1 of them have closed, after a median of 6 years, and 9 have no closure recorded.
Counted across this directory, from founding and closing years in public records. Medians cover only companies whose closure is recorded; a company with no closure date may have quietly ceased without the record catching it.
