Bank Makramah

About

Bank Makramah was, until November 2023, Summit Bank — itself assembled from the Pakistani operations of Rupali Bank and the acquisitions of Arif Habib Bank and Atlas Bank. Its renaming accompanied a conversion to fully Islamic banking and a recapitalisation led by Nasser Abdulla Hussain Lootah. Headquartered in Karachi, it is among the smaller scheduled banks and has spent much of the last decade under restructuring.
