About
1LINK is the interbank switch that most Pakistani electronic payments pass through, formed in 1999 as a consortium of major banks and now owned by its member institutions under the oversight of the State Bank of Pakistan. It runs the shared ATM network, interbank funds transfer and bill payment, and it owns and operates PayPak — Pakistan's domestic card scheme, created so that domestic card transactions need not be routed, and paid for, through Visa or Mastercard.
In context
We hold 19 other bank companies founded in the 1990s. 4 of them have closed, after a median of 13 years, and 15 have no closure recorded.
Counted across this directory, from founding and closing years in public records. Medians cover only companies whose closure is recorded; a company with no closure date may have quietly ceased without the record catching it.
