Ranking integrity: what money can and cannot buy

FounderDuels keeps competitive score and paid visibility strictly separate. Here is where the line sits.

By the FounderDuels team ·

FounderDuels rankings are only worth something if they are earned. That is why the platform keeps a strict line between competitive score and paid visibility.

Money can buy visibility

Some optional products increase how often people see you:

  • Featured Founder places your profile in featured slots on discovery pages. Featured slots are always labelled, and they sit apart from organic rankings.
  • Official Duel adds an official badge to one of your duels, wherever it appears.
  • Founder Pro adds deeper analytics on how your duels are won and lost, plus a Pro badge on your profile.

Money cannot buy results

No purchase changes:

  • a vote, or how votes are counted
  • a win, loss or tie
  • your Founder Rating
  • your rank on any leaderboard
  • which achievements you earn

Verification confirms identity and startup details. It is never sold as a ranking boost.

Manipulation is removed, not protected

Votes are checked for duplicate and coordinated patterns. Suspicious votes are flagged for admin review, and votes confirmed as manipulation are removed from the result, even when that changes the winner. Every sensitive admin action, including changing a result or a rating, is written to an audit log.

Credibility comes before growth. If a ranking can be bought, it means nothing to the founders who earned theirs.
